Skye Wagner is an artist and educator living and working on the unceded lands of the Gadigal and Bidjigal people of the Eora Nation (Sydney). Her practice predominantly employs photomedia and assemblage to disrupt the naturalisation of the photographic image and its depicted subjects. Wagner has exhibited across Australia and internationally, including recently at the Museum of Australian Photography, Murray Art Museum Albury, UNSW Galleries, Home of the Arts, and the British School at Rome, where she was the National Art School's 2022 research resident. She has a Master of Fine Art (Research) from UNSW (2020), a BA (Fine Arts) from the National Art School (2012), and a BA (Media and Cultural Studies) from Macquarie University (2002). She is currently a PhD candidate in the School of Art and Design at UNSW. Wagner has also held teaching positions at Sydney universities, including UNSW Art & Design, UTS, and the National Art School.
